How to tell when your music track is finally finished?

1. You listen to it and yell "THAT'S AWESOME!" You do the same thing when you listen to it the next day, the day after that, etc.

2. After an uncountable number of listens, re-tracking efforts and remixing/remastering sessions, you realize that anything else you do will not make the track better, just different. And you don't hate it.
